Career: Dipl.-Ing: general mechanical engineering (TUM/technical university Munich). 1963: start of profession at MBB (Ottobrunn). 1963-1971: helicopter design, development and certification (Bo 105). 1971-1975: design and dev. of combat ac (Tornado). 1975: program manager (Tornado). 1979: senior VP development of combat ac (Tornado IOC, concepts and technologies for Eurofighter). 1981-1990: senior VP helicopter development (BK 117, Bo 108, Tiger, NH 90, ALH, Bo 105 VBH and PAH-1). 1991: president and GM Space transportation division (Hermes, Sänger, different satellites). 1993-1998: COO for AI (Toulouse). 1998-2002: board member of DLR (Cologne). 2002-2004: president of DHV (German helicopter association). Since 1992 honorary professor for helicopter design and technology (TUM). Now consultant.
